A Place of Beauty and Tranquility

Authentic Japanese Garden in Mobile, AL

Gardens of different nations are one of the strongest expressions of civilization.  The Japanese garden in Mobile is a great venue to bring people of different heritages and cultural backgrounds together. Charles Wood started the garden in 1992 and has been working on it ever since.  The garden now has several ponds filled with koi and is surrounded by a walking path.  There are several boardwalks and benches.  Construction is continuing to improve the garden and make it even better as each year goes by. The Charles Wood Japanese Garden is also home to the Asian Cultural Center of Mobile.
